This page lists some of the web projects that I have planned, produced, managed etc.

I worked at the BBC from October 2002 until October 2011.
My job title was Senior Content Producer, BBC Vision Multiplatform Productions.

This means I planned, produced and managed high traffic websites, web content, and social media campaigns for BBC Vision, the biggest integrated multimedia broadcast and production group in the world.

I also directed, produced, created and commissioned text, pictures, video, audio, quizzes and games that have been consumed by many millions of people.

At BBC Vision, my clients were mostly executives. They’d say “I have this project / programme / campaign / event and I want to use the web to reach and engage the nation around it. How do we do that?”

Then it was my job to advise and draw up a plan. Often I’d also manage content production, lead teams, form external partnerships etc. With site builds, launches and re-launches I’d represent my clients’ interests, and act as interpreter and project manager, ensuring good communication with the other disciplines; developers, designers, lawyers and others.

The BBC trained me as multi-media broadcast journalist. I’ve written a lot of news, sport and features, talked on the radio, commissioned a lot of content, taken a lot of photos, made films etc.

I’m fascinated by my work, so, outside of the BBC, I’ve also made many popular websites for fun, learning and profit.
